ABOUT US

Jesus Bread of Life Ministries is a non-denominational, evangelical, Word and Spirit-filled church located in Mangalore, Karnataka. Everything we do and teach is based on the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ.

We are:

  • A church that believes in the love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • A church that believes the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
  • A church that emphasises upon reading, meditating and obeying God’s Word.
  • A church that is empowered and guided by the Holy Spirit.
  • A church that worships God in spirit and in truth and whose presence can be sensed and experienced.
  • A church that believes salvation is by grace through faith in the redemptive work of Christ on the cross and not by our works.
  • A church that believes in forgiveness of sins is through the precious blood of Jesus.

    • Prescilla D'souza is the founding pastor of Jesus Bread of Life Ministries church in Mangalore, Karnataka. She is a dynamic preacher with life transforming messages and ministers under the prophetic anointing and shares a deep revelation in God’s word. She was born and brought up in the traditional Christian faith. In the year 1989, she experienced the touch of the Lord at the charismatic renewal movement and started a prayer group called ‘Jesus Bread of Life Ministries’. As she went deeper in the Word of God she received a revelation of the true teachings of the Christian faith and preached the truth under the anointing. Subsequently God also gave a clear prophetic utterance to this ministry to start a Bible-based local church. Today, we have a beautiful local church in Mangalore – and moving around our nation we preach the uncompromised, undiluted Word of God, encouraging people to enjoy life in Jesus through His Word.

    Teaching the Word of God in a clear and concise manner is the goal of JBLM. Our foundation being rooted in the infallible Word of God, we desire to bring about a change in the lives of people through re-birth of the spirit through Christ by helping them to understand the importance of prayer, the love of God, the promises in His Word and their identity in Christ which is absolutely essential to living a victorious Christian life.

    Our immediate vision is evangelism of the lost and disciple-ing, training and equipping of ministries and Christian workers for the service in God’s Kingdom.

    We at JBLM worship God in spirit and in truth. John 4:23 -24.
    There are no set rules and regulations in worshipping our God. But as the Holy Spirit leads us we worship God by singing, clapping, making music, lifting our hands and kneeling. Psalm 27:6, 47:1, 6:4

    Join Us

    FASTING PRAYERS

    Timings: Sunday, 12:30pm - 2:30pm

    The members of the church in separate groups of men, women, girls and boys meet after every Sunday service for fasting prayer.
    The purpose of this session is to pray for winning of souls to Christ and the strengthening of the members in Christ.

    INTERCESSORY PRAYERS

    Timings: Friday, 10:30am - 1:00pm

    The members of the church who are committed get together for intercession prayers. Beside this few of our members meet daily during a convenient time for the same.
    We pray for the church, our pastor, our members, the various ministries and any other special prayer requests.

    SUNDAY SCHOOL

    Timings: Sunday, 12:00pm - 12:30pm

    We take keen interest in the upbringing of our children in the faith of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
    The little ones are taught - action songs, about the bible and other activities.

    FELLOWSHIP MEAL

    Occasionally as time permits the church comes together post service on a selected Sunday for a fellowship meal. This is an opportunity for members to interact with each other and develop fellowship. This inculcates a sense of family and belongingness. The meal is a simple one usually hosted by the church and prepared by the members.

    'I was healed from rhinorrhea which I had suffered from childhood till the age of 46'
    -DOROTHY RAJAN
    I was born in a Roman Catholic family. My husband, two children and myself strongly believed in the R.C. faith. We were doing quite well financially. Suddenly, problems surrounded us and we got into debts. My husband started drinking heavily and landed into cirrhosis of the liver. Doctors too gave up hope. We got involved in witchcraft to solve our problems, but the situation worsened. I met Pastor Prescilla in a bank where I had gone to apply for a loan. She spoke to me about true faith and invited me to the church. Surrounded with heavy problems and seeking deliverance I went. As I partook in the worship every Sunday and heard the spoken word of God, my life started changing. My husband was healed from cirrhosis of the liver. I was healed from rhinorrhea which I had suffered from childhood till the age of 46. We were also delivered from financial problems. Above all, it is now 2 years that I have understood what it means to have a relationship with God. As a child till the age of 46 years, even though I was a Christian, I never understood what it meant to have a relationship with God. Now I understand what it means to be born again. My family members and myself worship God in spirit and truth at JBLM.
    'I realised that Biblical teaching was not reserved for men only'

    I hail from Hyderabad. I came to Mangalore a few months back in connection with a job. At that time, I did not know which church to attend. I was looking out for a church which taught the truth in the Bible. One day, I happened to see a church near my office. I decided to go for worship there on Sunday. On that day there was a woman pastor who taught the Word of God. I was shocked because in my hometown women pastors do not teach the Bible. That day, she taught the Word of God so well that I realized that Bible teaching was not reserved for men only. I could literally see Acts 2:17 taking place in this church. All church members are like one family. I believe that in whichever place the truth in the gospel is preached, God's love will be seen in that place. This is what I saw in JBLM. I now enjoy everyday praising and worshipping God. I am very happy to be a part of JBLM church. The intercessory team prays daily for all church members. What I like most is the teaching of the Word. It is very important because faith comes by hearing. Pastor and the church members have encouraged me a lot. Thank you very much.
    'God answered my prayers'

    My name is Arya. I am a member of JBLM for the past 10 years. I am blessed spiritually through this ministry abundantly. When I was pregnant with my son, during the seventh month I suffered from severe allergy. Doctor advised me to go for a Cesarean since the levels of alkaline phosphates in the blood had gone very high, which would be harmful for the baby. But we took it to the Lord in prayer, specially the intercessory team along with Pastor. When the blood tests were done again the levels were within normal limits. And our baby was born full term on 12th May 2011. It was a difficult labour and doctor had given up hope saying it had to be done through a Cesarean section. But only because of the Lord's power the child was born normally. I give all glory and praise to Jesus alone!
    'God has worked awesomely in my life. I enjoy a rich relationship with my Lord'

    I was born in a Roman Catholic family 54 years back. I was a nominal Christian till the age of 38 years. I followed all the traditions of the faith as a matter of routine without giving any importance to the word of God. There was hardly any personal prayer. I was a Christian in name only. At the age of 38 years, I had a first taste of coming a little closer to God. I attended my first retreat by the Potta team. I did not attend willingly but was coerced into going for it by one of my aunts. From the age of 38 years to 44 years, I attended various retreats. I started reading the Word of God, though not regularly. I also started becomingrealizings minded, little realising then that being religious minded without understanding the Word of God is as bad as what I was before I had that mind set. Nothing much changed in me or around me. Then around 8 years back, one of my friends Jacintha showed me the truth in the Word of God. I was not very convinced at first, but then decided to ask God about it and prayed for conviction if it indeed was the truth. It was not long before, i.e., in 2 years time I was out of my traditional church into the true church of God which preached God’s Word above man’s traditions. It has been 6 years now that I am at JBLM. During these 6 years, God has worked awesomely in our lives-one of them being a miraculous healing of my husband and the other being the solving of a financial crunch. God has used me here in ways that I would never have thought even remotely possible 10 years back. I enjoy a rich relationship with my Lord-He is my father, brother and my very best friend. Spending time with Him in prayer and reading, studying and meditating on the Word of God has taken precedence over everything else in my life now.
